Firefighters gone wild … for a good cause

It’s that time of year again for overeating, packed department stores, and … giving toys away.

And if you are going to give toys away, why not give it to the San Francisco firefighters?

This Sunday, the firefighters toy program is holding competitive race and costume contest at Golden Gate Park called Run Wild for a Child.

Participants in the race will be bringing toys to donate, and you can also say hello to fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White and firefighter Shon Buford, who directs the Local 798 drive.

“Run Wild for A Child is not only a great way to burn off your Thanksgiving feast, but a wonderful way to help needy children in the Bay Area,” Buford said.
