Financial District bank robbed Friday afternoon

A man in his 30s or 40s robbed a Financial District bank Friday afternoon, according to the police.

At 12:20 p.m., the suspect entered a bank on Battery Street between California and Halleck streets. He walked up to a teller with a pistol and a note demanding cash.

He was given an unknown amount of money before fleeing the bank.
