Festival of Lights

A look at some of the most spectacularly decorated holiday homes in San Francisco and on the Peninsula

Lawrence and Wen Harris

642 Southgate Ave., Daly City

People often stop outside of the Harris’ home to take pictures with the extremely popular 5-foot nutcracker that stands on the front lawn. As new homeowners, the Harrises wanted to outdo the other houses in the area they critiqued in previous years by illuminating their two-story home with multicolored lights and candy canes.

A 12-foot palm tree adorned with lights and ornaments also adds a California flair to the holidays.

Don’t miss: The 5-foot nutcracker.
