Fatal shooting is year’s first S.F. homicide

Police are investigating San Francisco’s first homicide of the year, which occurred Tuesday morning in the city’s South of Market neighborhood.

The fatal shooting was reported about 4:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Ninth Street and claimed a male victim, police said. No suspects have been taken into custody, according to officials.
