Estranged wife guilty of CA TV repairman's murder

The estranged wife of a Southern California television repairman has been convicted of his murder.

The San Bernardino County Sun ( says 47-year-old Laurie Cone was found guilty Tuesday of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and second-degree robbery in the beating death of 63-year-old John Cone.

Her 30-year-old accomplice Gary Gallion was found guilty on the same counts. They could get life in prison without parole when they're sentenced April 9.

A third defendant, Shawna Marie Bayless, pleaded guilty to lesser charges before trial and agreed to testify.

Prosecutors said John Cone was found bound and beaten to death in his home that doubled as his repair shop in April 2012.

They say he planned to divorce Laurie Cone, who wanted his money and property to feed her gambling habit.
