San Francisco police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting an elderly victim in Chinatown on Monday.

Police released few details, but said the assault occurred around 12:36 p.m. in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue.

Surveillance images were released of the suspect, who is described as a black male around 35 to 40 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds with a beard. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a blue vest, black and white striped pants and black and white golf-type shoes.

The suspect was arrested Tuesday afternoon after an officer from Tenderloin Station spotted him, according to police. His name has not yet been released.
