East Palo Alto shooting kills man, injures 2 women

Gunfire in East Palo Alto has killed a 31-year-old man and sent two women to the hospital, police said.

Officers and San Mateo County Gang Task Force members were called regarding reports of shots fired just before midnight Saturday in the 1400 block of Kavanaugh Drive, East Palo Alto police said.

Arriving on scene, officers found three victims. The two local women, ages 27 and 34, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

A 31-year-old man from Fremont was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His identity has not yet been released.
