Drunken man assaulted and robbed in Mission district

A drunken 46-year-old man was assaulted and robbed Sunday morning in the Mission district, according to police.

At 1 a.m., the victim was attacked from behind at the intersection of Mission and 24th streets. Two men in their 20s or 30s punched him from behind, knocking him to the ground, and then took his cellphone, wallet and money.

Due to the victim's intoxication, he did not recall any other details of the incident.
