Stormy weather has forced cancellations and delays affecting all airlines Friday at San Francisco International Airport, according to an airport spokesman.
SFO spokesman Mike McCarron said winds up to the low 50s have canceled about 40 outbound and inbound flights so far, with delays of many flights of up to two hours.
Travelers are advised to call ahead to check on their flights, McCarron said.
An Oakland International Airport representative reported that the weather has not delayed flights at that airport.
A Mineta San Jose International Airport representative reported one flight cancellation from Orange County to San Jose, and one delayed flight from Burbank to San Jose.
