Daly legislation would restrict nonprofit fundraising

Proposed legislation from San Francisco supervisor Chris Daly that would bar city employees from soliciting donations for nonprofit organizations that fund city departments when they work for that department goes before the Board of Supervisors Rules Committee on Thursday. It was introduced in June after Daly called out one mayoral adviser for serving on the board of a nonprofit that influenced San Francisco planning.
