Authorities will conduct a sobriety and driver license checkpointin Daly City tonight, police have announced.
The operation will be held between 6:30 p.m. and midnight at East Market Street between Hillside Boulevard and Orange Street.
“We have had a high number of DUI collisions in this neighborhood in the last few years,'' Daly City police Capt. Eric Wollman said in a prepared statement. “We want people who drive under the influence to know that there are consequences.''
The operation marks the ninth checkpoint funded by a new $896,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
