Cow Palace parking lot closer to reality

The development of a parking lot at the Cow Palace is a step closer to reality after the site’s board of directors authorized official negotiations with a developer to build a retail complex and shopping center.

The decision authorizes a long-term lease preference with development firm Cypress Equities Northwest LLC. “It is a win-win situation,” said board President Henry N. Kuechler III.

“The community gets the retail development, including a grocery store complex it had desired, and the Cow Palace retains a valuable source of income.”
