Could be the beginning of a turf war

Hey, this ain’t your turf!

Cops on patrol near Balboa High School early Thursday morning were flagged down by a worker who was installing artificial turf on the school’s football field. Turns out someone, or several thieves, had stolen a piece of the turf overnight, the worker said.

Police are hunting the turf bandits.
