Commission to hear Embarcadero update

With community meetings now wrapped up, the Planning Commission will hear an update on The City’s Northeast Embarcadero Study this week.

The study, initiated by Board of Supervisors President David Chiu, is aimed at exploring future development opportunities along the Embarcadero, with an emphasis on the shoreline stretch from Market Street to North Point Street.

At this Thursday’s Planning Commission meeting, staff members from the Planning Department will discuss community recommendations from a public workshop held on September 30. The staff’s presentation will not require any action, but it will give an update on the upcoming procedural steps the study must go through before it can become finalized.
