Civic Center crash leaves man with critical injuries

A 20-year-old man received life threatening injuries after a traffic collision at Civic Center Plaza Monday afternoon, according to police.

The collision happened when the man, who was driving eastbound on McAllister at Polk street, was hit by a 42-year-old male driver who was travelling in the opposite direction and attempting to make a left turn into the Civic Center Plaza Garage.

The collision, which happened at around 4:10 p.m., left the man with multiple injuries, including a fractures to his pelvis and arm, according to police.
