City trees ready for their holiday makeover

If you ordered a “non-traditional” holiday tree through a Department of the Environment program that takes your Tannenbaum and plants it on the street when you’re done, well, don’t forget to pick it up. The trees –not conifers but such species as Southern Magnolias, Small Leaf Tristanias, and Strawberry Trees — will be distributed today and Sunday at the Civic Center, and planted in city ground once the egg nog is all gone.
