City services observe New Year's holiday

Many city and government services will be closed on New Year’s Day.

City Hall will observe the holiday by being closed Friday, with several offices likely shutting down early today. If you need to find out whether a specific service or agency is operating today, visit www.sfgov.org.

Also, street-sweeping restrictions and parking meters will not be enforced, with the exception of those meters at the Port of San Francisco.

Post offices will close at noon today and remain closed until Saturday.
