City offering 2010 internships

Who says summer internships don’t pay well? They do if you’re working for the City of San Francisco.

The city is offering internships for the summer of 2010 at agencies like Muni, the San Francisco International Airport, and the Rec and Park department. The internships, which are meant for students or recent graduates, are in professional positions like engineering, architecture and traffic planning.

Get that application and cover letter in soon and you too could be earning $1,857 biweekly for the summer – a salary that would work out to about $48,000 annually. Not bad shakes from a government expecting to face a $522 million deficit by next summer.
