Department to hold hearing on higher golf fees
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will hold a public hearing Thursday to discuss the possibility of increasing fees for golf organizations operating in The City to use public courses. The department is trying to create a uniform set of rules and fees for clubs that want to use one of The City’s six municipal golf courses for tournaments. The meeting will be held at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, in Room 416 at 2 p.m.
Ad hoc committee to discuss district’s student enrollment
Student enrollment, recruitment and retention within the San Francisco Unified School District will be discussed at an ad hoc school board committee meeting tonight. The school district saw a decline of 1,000 students this year, as well as last school year, and the district’s enrollment of 57,000 is forecasted to drop to 53,000 by 2015. The meeting will be held at 555 Franklin St., beginning at 5:30 p.m.
District attorney holds ‘Restorative Justice’ training
San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris and a host of law enforcement agencies are sponsoring “Restorative Justice” training to promote community courts. The Community Courts program of the District Attorney’s Office is an alternative to the traditional criminal justice system.
