City getting update on flu planning Friday

Mitch Katz, the director of the Public Health Department, is scheduled to give an update on influenza planning to city officials, including Mayor Gavin Newsom, on Friday.

The report will be given at The City’s quarterly Disaster Council meeting, 1 to 2:15 p.m. at City Hall. On Tuesday, the department announced that it has received far fewer swine flu vaccines than anticipated.
