San Francisco’s cable cars along the California Street began running this morning at 6 a.m., a San Francisco Municipal Railway spokesman said. The power cables were damaged and cable car service came to a halt around 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, Siegel said.
“Things are back up and running properly this morning,” Siegel said.
The California Street cable line runs east and west on California Street from the Financial District, through Chinatown, over Nob Hill and stops at Van Ness Avenue, according to Siegel.
