Cable car service on Powell line disrupted

Service to San Francisco Municipal Railway's historic cable cars on the Powell-Hyde line has been disrupted due to a problem with the
cable, an agency spokesman said.

The Hyde Street portion of the line is out of service and bus shuttles have been implemented to serve passengers, Muni spokesman Judson True said.

Regular cable car service is expected to resume Monday morning, he said.

The Powell-Hyde cable car line begins at the Powell-Market turntable and runs over Nob and Russian hills before ending at Aquatic Park
near Ghiradelli Square.
