Cable car service disrupted on Powell Street

A cable problem has disrupted cable car service in San Francisco Thursday afternoon, a San Francisco Municipal Railway spokesman said.

The problem was reported at about 2:30 p.m.

Muni spokesman Judson True said service on the Powell Street portion of the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason cable car lines has been
affected.

Muni has set up bus shuttles to carry riders along that stretch.
