A bust of Adolph Sutro, San Francisco’s first Jewish mayor, who served a two-year term starting in 1894, has been commissioned for City Hall. A sculptor’s scale model is on display at the Cliff House, overlooking Sutro Baths, until Jan. 4. Sculptor Jonah Hendrickson — who was one of three artists who created the Harvey Milk sculpture in City Hall — is making the Sutro bust. Donations to make the sculpture a reality are being solicited.
