Burlingame cops have checkpoint planned for New Year’s

Party-goers beware: Police are out in force through New Year’s Eve. As part of a holiday driving safety campaign, Burlingame police plan a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint today at 6 p.m. at an undisclosed location within the city. No one was killed while driving drunk during the holiday season last year, but eight people were injured in alcohol-involved collisions.
