Bonds wants to ring in new season with Giants

The Examiner predicts what The City’s leaders, losers, and movers and shakers want from Santa.

Who: Barry Bonds

What: A World Series ring

Why: After years of staying out of the spotlight since his tumultuous homerun chase and retirement, Barry is suddenly making noise about coming back as a hitting coach with the Giants. Could it be that he sees a bright future for the team and wants to be a part of another World Series run? “I have a gift, and sooner or later I have to give it away,” Bonds said. They say the best gift is to give — but a certain long-awaited piece of jewelry wouldn’t be bad either.
