Body found at Hyde Street pier

U.S. Park Police discovered a dead body floating under a ferry at the Hyde Street Pier Monday morning.

The incident was reported at 11:37 a.m. and authorities recovered the body at 12:35 p.m., Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The body was found under The Eureka ferryboat, which is docked at the pier.

The medical examiner will determine official cause of death. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the man's death are unknown.
