Board of Supervisors President David Chiu wins easily in Disitrct 3

Board of Supervisors President David Chiu plans to introduce a resolution today states that sex-selective abortion bans can lead to women being denied services.

Board of Supervisors President David Chiu has reclaimed his seat as the District 3 representative serving the North Beach, Chinatown, Polk and Telegraph Hill neighborhoods.

He easily bested the three other candidates in the field, including architect Joseph Butler and former film producer Marc Bruno. Chiu was first elected to the board in November 2008 and was twice elected by the board as its president, a post with two-year terms.
