Blockage slows traffic on Bay Bridge this morning

The California Highway Patrol at 7:56 a.m. reported an obstruction on the Bay Bridge in the eastbound direction before Treasure Island Road, blocking the left lane and causing traffic delays.

Road work this morning on Interstate 80 eastbound between Treasure Island Road and Fourth Street in San Francisco is expected to continue until 2 p.m. Caltrans has opened alternative lanes.

And shortly before 7 a.m., the Muni 6-Parnassus, 8X-Bayshore Express, 10-Townsend, 14-Mission, 19-Polk, 43-Masonic, 47-Van Ness and 49-Mission/Van Ness lines were experiencing longer than normal wait times.
