It is not every day that politicians take up the topic of people-eating bugs.
That is why a San Francisco Board of Supervisors hearing about bedbugs Monday is sure to catch some attention.
Even before Supervisor Jane Kim came into office, she was pledging to look into the problem of bedbugs in San Francisco. Once in office, one of her first moves was to call a hearing about the creepy critters.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors City Operations & Neighborhood Services Committee will hold the hearing “to consider presentations from the Department of Public Health and Department of Building Inspection regarding on-going inspection procedures, reporting, and referral procedures, enforcement of, prevention and control of bed bugs.”
There is no word yet if any bedbugs will be called forth to take part in the hearing.
