Bayview shooting victim identified

A San Francisco man who was shot and killed Friday afternoon has been identified today by the San Francisco medical examiner's office as 32-year-old Herbert Bell.

Bell was driving in front of 1655 Jerrold St. around 2:45 p.m. when two suspects fired into his vehicle. Bell suffered gunshot wounds and died at the scene, San Francisco police Sgt. Neville Gittens said. A female passenger in the car was not injured.

Police are investigating the shooting, but there are no suspects, Gittens said.
