Bayview homicide is 40th in city this year

A 22-year-old San Francisco man is dead following a shooting in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood Saturday evening.
The medical examiner identified the victim Sunday as Malik Fennedy.

Police responded at 7:50 p.m. to the area of 1014 Griffith St., where they found Fennedy outside a residence, San Francisco police Sgt. Lyn Tomioka said.
