BART experiencing delays due to mechanical issue

A mechanical problem is causing 15-minute delays on BART trains Thursday morning, an official said.

Officials took a train out of service at 12th Street after a mechanical problem, causing service delays from the Embarcadero Station to San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae stations and from the Oakland Coliseum Station to the Fremont Station.

The service to Fremont has been corrected, but there were still delays of about 15 minutes to the airport and Millbrae as of 10:20 a.m., an official said.
