A 24-year-old man was the target of a shooting in the Bayview on Monday night, but his attackers failed to harm him, according to police.
The 9:20 p.m. incident in the 1000 block of Fitzgerald Street near the Alice Griffith public housing projects began when the victim drove into the housing complex. Not far behind walked the two suspects.
When the victim got out of his car both suspects opened fired. While they fired roughly 25 rounds, none hit their mark, instead striking nearby homes and vehicles.
Both men then ran from the scene.
No arrests have been made in the case.
