Attempt to rip off laundromat was a wash

Cops called it a burglary, but really it was mindless vandalism.

A crooked dolt broke into a laundromat in the 1100 block of Cole Street on Sept. 19, prying the lock off the front door, in an attempt to get at the change machine, police said.

In the end, the clumsy criminal did nothing but damage the change machine. The crook, or crooks, left defeated, police said.
