San Francisco Fire Department arson officials are investigating fires that called engines to the same Mission District building twice this morning, department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
Firefighters were first called to a one-alarm fire in a three-story residential building at 1298 Treat Ave. at 4:53 a.m., Talmadge said. Talmadge could not confirm if the building was occupied at the time of the fire.
Firefighters were dispatched a second time to a fire in the same building at about 8:56 a.m., she said.
Arson investigators are looking into the fires, according to Talmadge.
