Arrested: Dwayne Whitaker

San Francisco police arrested the 46-year-old suspect in a two-month-long series of robberies that targeted elderly victims.

Whitaker, of San Francisco, was arrested on Wednesday by officers after a victim and two neighbors detained him in the lobby of an apartment building on the 1000 block of Jones Street after the suspect attempted another robbery.

He remains in custody on robbery, attempted robbery and aggravated assault charges.
