Burlingame police have arrested a man for allegedly shooting and killing a driver on U.S. Highway 101 in late September after they released images of the suspect’s vehicle to the public the previous day.
Doyal Malcolm Webber, aka Ali, 18, of Hayward, was booked on murder charges Wednesday and transferred to San Mateo County Jail, where he is being held without bail, police said.
Webber allegedly shot Londell Wilson, 25, of San Mateo, while Wilson was driving in his 1990 Honda on Sept. 30, police said. Wilson then crashed into a drainage ditch just north of the Broadway exit and later died, police said.
Red light camera blurry photos and a video of two vehicles believed to be responsible for the shooting were released to the public on Tuesday and led to the identification of Webber, police said.
