Arnie signs Ammiano pier repair bill

Last year, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetod AB 1176 – which would release money to the Port of San Francisco for pier repairs. The letter appeared to use an obscenity – which was done using the first letter of each line down the left-hand margin — which Schwarzenegger said was nothing more than a coincidence

It seems he’s playing along now. The governor Thursday night finally signed the bill The City has been waiting for. In the letter announcing his approval of AB 1199, sponsored by Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco, the governor spells out the phrase “you are welcome” which again can be deciphered by stringing the first letter of each word reading down the left hand margin.

Thanks, Arnie.
