Apple retailer to open in Hillsdale Mall

San Mateo residents hunting for the newest Apple gadget soon won’t have to stray as far from their homes to buy one. Cupertino-based Apple is opening a store in Hillsdale Mall this weekend, according to the company. There are already a handful of Apple retail locations on the Peninsula, including one in Burlingame and two in Palo Alto.
