All lanes now open on I-580 to I-680 North

All lanes are open on the transition roads from westbound and eastbound Interstate Highway 580 to northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasanton after a vehicle collision prompted the closure of nearly all lanes

for more than four hours today, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A white pickup truck that overturned at 7:40 a.m. initially blocked all lanes from westbound and eastbound Highway 580 to northbound Highway 680, CHP Officer A. Paulson said.

Hazardous material crews were called to investigate after chlorine and muriatic acid spilled in the road, Paulson said.
