Accident snarls Highway 1 at Devil's Slide

A traffic accident on Highway 1 at Devil’s Slide is causing delays, according to police.

At 6:57 a.m., police received reports of an overturned vehicle on the road between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay.  While ambulances were en route to the scene, the man driving the vehicle was able to free himself from the burning car, according to California Highway Patrol reports.

Police are directing northbound traffic onto the southbound side of the road until a tow truck arrives to take the vehicle away.
