60 year old answers door for friend, gets robbed overnight

A 60-year-old man answered the door to his Visitacion Valley home early Wednesday morning when he saw his friend standing outside, but her visit turned less than welcoming when three men forced their way in.

The men, who appeared to be between 30 and 35 years old, demanded cash when they entered his place at Desmond Street and Sunnydale Avenue around 4 a.m., police said.

The men took the money, along with a cell phone, before driving away in a taxi.

No one was injured during the home invasion. Police have not released any further details on the male suspects.

The man’s friend, a 35-year-old woman, is considered a suspect in the case.Bay Area NewsCrimeCrime & CourtsHome invasion robberySan Francisco CrimeVisitacion Valley
