Three men shot Friday night in the Mission district were sent to the hospital, two with life-threatening injuries, a San Francisco police spokesman said.

<p>Police responded to a shooting just before 11 p.m. at 16th and Hoff streets and found three victims with injuries who were taken to the hospital, Sgt. Michael Adraychak said this morning.

The first victim, a 34-year-old man, did not have injuries considered life-threatening while the other two men, ages 24 and 42, were hospitalized with serious injuries, according to Adraychak.

There is no suspect in custody this morning as the department's criminal investigation unit looks into the case.

A man who answered the phone at nearby Pancho Villa Taqueria on 16th Street said there were many police cars and officers in front of the Wells Fargo bank by the 16th Street BART station plaza around 12:30 a.m. this morning.

Another person in the area of Mission and 16th streets said police tape blocked off the sidewalk.

Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
