1976 Nobel Peace Prize laureate to speak in SF

Betty Williams, the 1976 Nobel Peace Prize laureate from Ireland, will appear with her fellow laureate, Shirin Ebadi of Iran, at San Francisco’s International Studies Academy on Tuesday. The women will encourage students to become responsible global citizens. Williams was honored for her work in Northern Ireland. Ebadi, a peace activist, was the first female Islamic laureate.
