Wikipedia relocating headquarters to San Francisco

The Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit parent company of popular open source online encyclopedia Wikipedia, is moving its headquarters from St. Petersburg, Florida to San Francisco, Calif. in January.

The city was chosen in part due to its proximity to Asia, board members said.
