Wells Fargo has agreed to acquire five banks in Wyoming and eastern Idaho belonging to United Bancorporation of Wyoming, the company said Tuesday.
The acquisition will make San Francisco-based Wells Fargo Corp. (WFC) the largest bank in both deposits and assets in Wyoming.
The banks to be acquired include Jackson State Bank & Trust, Shoshone First Bank, Sheridan State Bank, First State Bank of Pinedale and United Bank of Idaho, with 13 locations. They have $1.7 billion in assets and 300 employees in total.
Terms of the cash sale were not disclosed.
