U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., was comfortably re-elected to the U.S. Senate for the fourth time Tuesday in an election that saw three other Democratic incumbents from the Bay Area returned by convincing margins.

Feinstein, a senator since 1992, will return to Washington, D.C., along with U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, who easily won her race for the District 12 seat. Pelosi, the House minority leader, has been re-elected 12 times since winning a special election for the Democratic-dominated district in 1987. Feinstein came out on top against Republican businesswoman Elizabeth Emken, and Pelosi triumphed over Republican John Dennis.

U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo, in the House since 2008, won her re-election bid, as did U.S. Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Palo Alto, a member of the House since 1993. Speier won over Debbie Bacigalupi, a Republican biotech consultant from San Carlos, and Eshoo defeated Dave Chapman, a Republican software engineer from Palo Alto.
