Scoop: Why did Heidi leave Spencer?

Why did Heidi Montag decide to leave husband Spencer Pratt? The “Hills” villainess is moving in with pal Jennifer Bunney, who said the couple have “some issues” to deal with.

“She’s moving in with me,” Jennifer told Us magazine. “They’re not divorced,” but the spouses of a year are “going through some issues. I don’t think you move in with your friend if your marriage is completely cruising along. If things are great, you don’t move out and move in with your friend.”

Well, um, yeah.

“Heidi has spent so much time with Spencer and now she wants to be able to spend more time with herself and friendships,” the pal told TMZ.

Rumor has it that smarmy Spencer had been controlling his wife, even refusing to let her leave the house. He even recently called the police when Heidi’s mother showed up unannounced at their home to visit her daughter.

Jamie Lynn’s breakup

Jamie Lynn Spears (remember her?) has dumped her older boyfriend and is already moving on with a new man, Star magazine reported. The one-time “Zoey 101” star — who has laid low since having daughter Maddie at age 17 with then-beau Casey Aldredge — ended her relationship with businessman James Watson after almost six months.

The 19-year-old actress allegedly had been talking about getting serious, but 29-year-old James wasn’t into it, so she kicked him to the curb.

“The same thing that attracted Jamie Lynn to James at first is what ultimately turned her off,” a source said. “In the end, it seems she’s more mature than he is.”

Well, girls do mature faster.

Lindsay’s new life

Maybe Lindsay Lohan really is learning her lesson. Though she hit up Hollywood hot spots like Chateau Marmont (drinking water) after getting fitted with her alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet, the troubled starlet has realized that she needs to remove herself from that social circle to avoid temptation.

“She needs to get away from that scene … and she knows it,” a source told TMZ of the party girl, who has been ordered to undergo random drug testing in order to stay out of jail.

“The people who hang around her are such moochers and bad energy,” a pal said. “She needs to cut them out, and I think that’s what she’s starting to realize.”

Pals are optimistic that LiLo may really have turned over a new leaf, and they say she’s the healthiest she has been “in a long time.”

The star — who has been cast as porn star Linda Lovelace in an upcoming film — reportedly spent the holiday weekend with a pal in Venice. She has apparently been spending a lot of time sleeping (which pals say was badly needed), watching TV and, of course, shopping. Hey, some things never change.
