Ron Paul tweets support for Wikileaks

Ron Paul, always in favor of more transparency and freedom, tweeted his support for Wikileaks today.

“Re: Wikileaks- In a free society, we are supposed to know the truth. In a society where truth becomes treason, we are in big trouble.” he wrote.

Andy Barr at Politico notes that Paul also questioned the urge to prosecute Julian Assange on the Fox Business channel.

“In a free society we're supposed to know the truth,” Paul said. “In a society where truth becomes treason, then we're in big trouble. And now, people who are revealing the truth are getting into trouble for it.”

Paul is sure to make his case in upcoming days, as he is expected to go on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' and Fox News' 'Fox and Friends' morning show tomorrow.
